Landscape Design & Construction
Full outdoor planning and construction, including layout, grading, planting, stonework, and finishing details.

Real experience, thoughtful design, and work that holds up over time.
Luke was born and raised in this part of Ontario and started working in landscaping at a young age alongside his family. What began as hands-on work grew into decades of experience across design, pools, stonework, planting, carpentry, and lighting.
He founded Headwaters in 2012 with a simple goal: build landscapes that fit the property—how it looks, how it functions, and how people actually live in it.
Clients know Luke for being straightforward, dependable, and detail-focused. He has built a reputation for seamlessly integrating each home into its surroundings, whether natural or formal, while doing the work properly and creating landscapes that still look right years later.

Christopher Karsch — Operations & Project Manager
Chris developed a passion for the landscape industry at a young age, drawn to both the craft and the art of building. Nearly 20 years ago, he began a working relationship with Luke that continues to shape the foundation of Headwaters today.
A graduate of Landscape Design, Chris is a skilled stone mason and builder who takes pride in thoughtful execution and complex work.
His focus today is leading challenging builds, guiding operations at a high level, and mentoring the team. He values strong relationships with builders, clients, and trade partners, and brings a steady, hands-on approach to every project.
Whether you are starting with a new build or improving an older property, Headwaters handles the outdoor work in-house.

Pergolas, pavilions, covered outdoor rooms, and custom structures that make the outdoor space more useful and comfortable.
Water features designed to feel like a natural part of the property, not something added at the end.
Seasonal garden care that helps the landscape keep looking its best over time.
Our firm works with a team of designers, builders, project managers, and skilled tradespeople who carry projects from planning into construction.
The same team that helps plan the project stays involved through the build, which keeps communication clear and the work moving in the right direction.
Clients trust Headwaters because the team takes ownership of the details and stands behind the finished work.
Every landscape starts with the property itself — the grades, views, soil, and the way the home sits on the land.
Headwaters chooses materials, plants, and pool systems with the long term in mind, so the work still feels solid and well chosen years later.
Headwaters approaches each project with clear communication, reliable follow-through, and steady involvement from planning to completion.
Among multiple industry recognitions, Headwaters received a 2025 Landscape Ontario Awards of Excellence honor for the residential project "Choose Joy."
It is a meaningful recognition of the care, quality, and attention that goes into the work. It's recognition of the craft, the attention to detail, and the commitment to delivering landscapes that elevate properties and earn referrals.
